Module 02 - FIREARM SAFETY

THE DANGERS OF IMPROPER LOADING

Do it right or pay the price.

Incorrect loading can cause a firearm to malfunction or jam. If a jam happens and the trigger is pulled, the firearm could detonate and cause devastating and possibly deadly injuries. So, match those stamps and take care when loading ammunition.

Check This Out: The Shotgun Grenade

Don’t be the hunter who accidentally turned their shotgun into a grenade. This is what will happen if you load a 20-gauge shotshell into a 12-gauge shotgun. The smaller shell will slide through the chamber and get stuck. If a 12-gauge shotshell is then inserted behind the jammed 20-gauge shotshell, the barrel will burst when the trigger is pulled and and metal shards will fly everywhere. So, it’s a sensible negotiation: Make sure your ammo matches your shotgun… and you won’t need reconstructive face surgery.
