BREAK ACTION SHOTGUN
Break action shotguns are available in either single, or double barreled styles. They literally break open to expose the barrel, or barrels and many hunters consider their versatility to be a great advantage. Two barrels = two choke options. They're the popular shotgun choice for upland game hunters, and sportsman with a taste for tradition.
Break Action Shotgun Types:
BREAK ACTION SINGLE BARREL:
Single barrel shotguns of this type are often made short and light.
BREAK ACTION SIDE-BY-SIDE (DOUBLE BARREL):
Double barrel shotguns of this type feature a pair of barrels mounted beside each other. This is the ‘go-to’ shotgun for upland game bird hunters.
BREAK ACTION OVER/UNDER (DOUBLE BARREL):
This is the very popular, more modern variant of the double-barreled, break action shotgun. It offers a single sighting plane, vertical double barrels, a quick follow-up shot and a choice of chokes.
