DRIVING
Driving game means you’re pushing an animal towards another hunter. This tactic is really popular with deer hunting groups. A deer drive will require at least two or three hunters who know a large hunting area really well. You need to know the terrain so that you can calculate where the deer are most likely to go when driven out from one side of it. The place you’ve predicted they will run toward is where your watchers will be posted. The watchers job is to shoot the deer when they come running out.
Obviously this hunting tactic involves risk. The drivers walk through the woods towards the watchers—who will be firing at the running deer. Minimize the risk by making sure your watchers are highly accurate shooters and make sure everyone involved is COVERED in blaze orange clothing.
